What Is a Leaflet?

Let us start with the basic concept. A leaflet is one sort of paper advertisement. Generally, businesses and organizations use this for mass distribution. You may either hand it out or send it through the mailbox. There are other leaflets names such as handbill, pamphlet, poster flyer, circular, etc.

But please don’t think this is merely a piece of trivial paper. On the contrary, this is a tremendous means for businesses to spread their intended message to their target customers. Also, it can contain content for other social affairs.

What is the process of printing leaflets?

We utilize both litho as well as digital printing technologies to print leaflets for our clients. The choice of method is based on the quantity needed and how large the flyers are. Our primary form of printing leaflets is via the latest digital printers. As of this writing, we have three Xerox digital presses in operation, including a brand-new Xerox Versant 3100 (pictured below ).

Shape The Message According to Your Goal

You may need to promote sales, invite for an event, advertise your new gymnasium, or something else. Now you have to craft a message to print that out finally. The letter should come up with an enticing headline and scannable, attractive body copy.

Remember, the text should be as concise as captivating to increase the conversion rate.

Learn About Size, Paper Type, and Style

This is very crucial regarding leaflet printing. We recommend a large size if you have to interact with your prospects directly. Let us be more specific about the leaflet size.

  • The a4 leaflet printing should be 21 x 29.7 in cm or 8.3 x 11.7 inches
  • The a5 leaflet printing should be 14.8 x 21 in cm or 5.8 x 8.3 inches
  • The a6 leaflet printing should be 10.5 x 14.8 in cm or 4.1 x 5.8 inches
  • The a7 leaflet printing should be 7.4 x 10.5 or 2.9 x 4.1 inches
  • The square one can vary from 7.4 to 21 cm or 2.9 to 8.3 inches

You may choose any among silk, gloss, or kraft as your paper type according to your need. Else, both the folded style and creased style will be available for you.

There are options like-

  • Z-fold
  • Accordion fold
  • C-fold, Double gate-fold
  • Half-fold
  • Tri-fold

And as a printing and design hub, we suggest printing on both sides on 170gsm silk paper for a backsideA5 size and 350gsm silk paper for better card stock.

On Bleed and Image Size

Please, ensure a 3mm bleed on all edges of your flyer. You can rely on Indesign or Illustrator with the help of the document details pane.

And if you like to use software such as word, photoshop, or PowerPoint, please enlarge your artboard up to 6mm on the horizontal and vertical axis.

However, try to ensure as many white spaces as you can. And employ the selected imagery where it fits best. You better check the resolution of the image to decide on the image size. We recommend at least 300dpi while inserting the full-size image within the design.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • One-side printing
  • Not being unique according to target customer
  • Making logos too big and limiting space for color, fonts, graphics, etc
  • Focusing on services instead of benefits
