Install the NetgearEX3700 range extender  

To use the Netgear EX3700 range extender in access point mode, initially, you have to install it. In the installation of the extender, you have to place the extender & properly apply the power. Let’s start the installation process of the EX3700 extender. 

If your Netgear Wi-Fi range extender is a new one, you can unbox it from the packaging box. Then, you have to inspect the correct position. Because the position is most crucial to expanding the Wi-Fi network. For that, you have to place the EX3700 Wi-Fi extender in the same room as your Wi-Fi router. Afterward, you have to inspect the power outlet near the router. On this power outlet, you have to plug the range extender. In the end, you have to wait for the extender’s power LED to light amber and then turn green. 

Connect the Netgear EX3700 range extender to an existing WiFi network 

After completing the installation, you have to connect the range extender to an existing Wi-Fi network. You can ingeniously connect the extender to an existing network by using WPS methods or web browser methods. If you wish to quickly do the setup, then you should choose the WPS method. 

To perform the setup of the extender through the WPS button, you need to verify whether your router supports the WPS button. If yes, then this setup is possible. Use Netgear EX3700 Range Extender In Access Point Mode 

After installing and connecting the Netgear range extender, you will be able to use the extender as in access point mode. Let’s start the process to use the extender in acces point mode. 

Initially, you have to hook the Netgear EX3700 extender into a wall power supply. Then, you have to wait until the power LED light of this extender turns green. If the LED does not green, then you have to verify the press the power button. Now, you have to use a Network cable and join this cable’s ends into the router & extender’s LAN ports. Then, head over to your computer and open the WI-Fi network. On the following network name, you have to locate the NETGEAR_EXT network. If the network name does not appear, then you can perform the netgear extender factory reset. Afterward, again do the setting of the extender, again. 

On the computer that is connected to the Wi-Fi network, enter www.mywifiext.net in the search bar. You have to click the New Extender Setup button. To create the account, you have to complete the information. On the setup wizard, you have to click the mode section. Under the mode section, pick the Access Point mode. To enable this mode, you have to click the save section. Now, your Netgear EX3700 extender is enabled in the access point mode.
