Tharoor faces flak for manifesto showing distorted map of India, later corrects it | India News


NEW DELHI: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor sparked a controversy on Friday after he released a manifesto, detailing how he would change the party if he became its president, that showed a map of India with parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh omitted.


Earlier version of the manifesto which was released on Friday.
Moments after the goof-up was identified, Tharoor’s office released a corrected manifesto.
The mistake, however, was caught by social media users many of whom called it a “a massive goof-up” and “shameful”. Others accused the Congress presidential hopeful of being “divisive”.
