Amid the speculations of senior leader Ravinder Singh Ravi, a staunch loyalist of former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal joining Congress, the BJP has fielded him from Jawalamukhi.

Ravi had contested the last election from Dehra and this time there was uncertainty over his ticket due to which there were speculations of his joining the Congress party.
The BJP had released the first list of 62 candidates on Wednesday.
Ramesh Dhwala sitting MLA from Jwalamukhi has been shifted to Dehra.
On the directions of the party, Dhwala had started his campaign in Dehra but later it was being speculated that he would be shifted back to Jawalamukhi as the party was undecided on the name of Ravinder Singh Ravi and not happy with this Dhwala had announced to contest from Dehra only at any cost.
Now it is official that he will contest from Dehra seat.

From Kullu, BJP has relied on the candidature of Maheshwar Singh. Earlier there was confusion on his candidature too as his son Hiteshwar Singh had sought a ticket from Banjar assembly seat and had announced to contest at any cost.
