From Suella Braverman to James Cleverly, Rishi Sunak’s cabinet includes those who backed his rivals | TOI Original

Rishi Sunak is the third UK prime minister in two months and he is doing all he can to unite the badly-divided Conservative party. While his economic policies will decide the future of his government, politically too, he is trying to take all sections of the party along. Sunak has not only included his supporters in his Cabinet, he has also taken in those who had sided with his rivals in the leadership battle. Among the latter are ministers like Ben Wallace, James Cleverly and Nadhim Zahawi. However, it’s his Home Secretary pick in the form of Suella Braverman that has raised most eyebrows. Braverman was sacked just a week ago over breach of ministerial code.
